So, once upon a time a little girl from a tiny town in Georgia, had too much free time on her hands and was driving her third grade teacher up the wall. However, the teacher was a very nice lady and instead of sending the little girl to the principal's office for her childish transgressions, she sat her down in front of a typewriter in the back of the room. After a short demonstration of how to work the rather out-dated machine, the teacher left the little girl to her own devices. It was in that magical moment when her short little fingers began to tap out a tale all her own that a writer was born. Over the course of the years, the little girl grew up. She went from liking Barbie dolls and pigtails to platform shoes and video games and then to Harley Davidsons and corsets. There was one thing that never changed about the little Georgia girl no matter how old she got. She was a writer. Before she was even Crystal, she was a writer. I fell in love with literature before I could even read. At nine years old I decided to begin telling my own stories and I'm pretty sure that shortly after, any hope I had at a normal life died a miserable death. Since middle school I have had a hand full of poems published and served as a reporter in a state-wide student organization. Currently, I'm working toward a degree centric to writing so I live happily ever after in a cardboard box in New Orleans. If I happen to write a best seller at some point, so be it. For now though I'm just a farm girl trying to get her ficticious ducks in a row and questing for any and all stories that life and the people around me can offer.
